The Year 2010 has started with regular technological achievements at the Institute for the Humanities and IT. A new computerized testing system which allows fast and thorough check of students’ knowledge has been completed and implemented. For understanding our Institutes’ policy of continuity it’s revealing that the system was developed by the fifth-year Information Technologies students M.Kudryavzev and S.Bozhko guided by A.Zazuk, IGUMO’s chief programmer engineer, and supervised by A.V. Ermakov, Deputy Rector for Information Technologies and Technical Facilities. IGUMO’s Deputy Rector for Academic Projects, PhD (Technology), Professor K. A. Magamedov was at the head of the project.
Now the newly formed but cohesive crew is updating IGUMO’s database and that will let us get complete information about any student in real time.
It’s students’ fundamental and practically tested knowledge that makes these achievements feasible. It’s also essential that the students’ professional skills are the mirror image of their teachers’ professional ambitions and the whole point is that the teachers are not afraid to raise the qualification standard for their students. So it is only natural that the introduction of innovative and practically oriented approaches in teaching IT specialists acknowledges the teachers’ proficiency and students’ expert skills.
