On October 1, 2010 the students of IGUMO&IT took part in warfare competitions and showed their fighting spirit. They were about to push forward to the Firing Ground of the Training Sports Military Camp when a command«Mount up!» came.
The weather did not favor the participants but still they made the landing in a normal mode.
11:15 We are at the place of deployment.
11:30 we are at a lecture of basic military training;
12.00 we demonstrate how fit we are.
12:30 the Kalashnikov gun! the most powerful Russian weapon! Believe it or not but we are able to assemble and disassemble it in no time!
13:30 Firing in a prone position… we are running short of enthusiasm…but many can still hit the bull's-eye… that’s just the beginning!
14:30 Hurdle race is a real stamina race! The students were exhausted but never quit.
15:30 100-metre sprint, pull-ups. Volynkina Marina, Rector of the Institute for the Humanities and IT, acts as a political instructor to support the team of the Law Department. It is hard to believe but our Rector participates with the others on a par! She inspires all the students by her personal example.
16:30 the participants put on splash suits and gas masks and then we are ready to push forward. How lucky we are! The clouds in the sky are starting to disappear!
17:00 All in good time! And it’s time for lunch.
After lunch everybody were discussing the military operations and stated that no one had lost. The students of IGUMO&IT who participated in the military operations were tired but happy. They showed their readiness to serve their country.
Russian people remember the history of their country. They fought a lot but never acted as an aggressor and always came out of a warfare situation with honor!
The students of our Institute managed to successfully recreate the atmosphere of those days.
We congratulate our winners and prizemen!
