December, 27, 2005 at the IGUMO Law Department the moot on the topic «Trying a Criminal Case in Court of First Instance» carried out within the frame of the academic discipline «Law of Criminal Procedure» took place. The difficulty of conducting such lessons is that one should have enough knowledge not only about the proceeding rules but also about how to establish the truth in the case and to make impartial judgment. The moot was aimed exactly at developing such skills.
The moot was based on a real criminal case on malicious hooliganism linked with resistance to police.
