The Adventures of «the Prodigal Son» Finished Tragically
December, 25, 2008 an open session on the high-profile case «The Tragic Death of Roly-Poly» took place at the Magic Forest Court. It was conducted by M. Volinkyna, Rector of IGUMO IT, Ph.D. (Law), Professor. But at this time she was present at the judicial proceedings as an independent expert. The students themselves held the court session from the beginning till the end without any assistance.
There were four defendants in the dock at once: Hair, Wolf, Bear and Fox — IGUMO Law Department students. The legal proceedings were held by the jury.
The atmosphere was electrifying. It seemed that you attended a live performance. However, all of the «acting participants» acted as adults. Everyone developed their positions in concordance with professional requirements. The prosecutors were indisputable and severe enough; the lawyers were eloquent and convincing; the judges were sophisticated.
For the first time the students conducted legal proceedings without any assistance. It was incredibly hard and difficult. But the students made their best!
