The Department of Journalism

 They say, who owns information, owns the world. It stands to reason from the dawn of civilization that mankind has always been in great demand for the exchange of information. Journalists have their finger on the pulse of the planet and are conscious of the new developments of situations and events.

The students of Journalism Department study at the Institute the fundamentals of TV- and radio journalism, the specificity of the Internet and printed matters, TV-direction and advertising business. The curricula of IGUMO IT are based on the harmony of theory and practice.

Future journalists get their job-related training at radio and television studios, in printing mass-media, press-services, advertising and news agencies. Much attention in the Institute is paid to the new methods of information spreading.

The versatility of training provides great demand for IGUMO graduates on a job-market of today and the fact for them to be selected for strong and successful teams of various mass-media and to participate in the largest PR-projects.

 Olga Pavlova, editor-in-chief of the TV-channel «Moscow Region Area», the author and anchorwoman of the TV-program «Eko-Terra». Olga is twice the laureate of the creative competitions and a graduate of Journalism Department.

 Journalism is more than a profession — it’s a style of life. At this department we acquired the main professional properties such as love for creative work, an ability to see, to understand and to appreciate the ever-changing. High standards of education made it possible for us to be involved in «live» journalism in studentship. At that period many of us overcame the first levels of a career ladder on the way to success. The Institute indeed gave me a start in life. It gave me interesting, bright and full of everyday discoveries life; taught us to study and to be good friends. We are together even now: everyone is in our hearts and minds. We are sincerely glad to see each other when we meet and are proud of the diplomas which we got in IGUMO IT.
