By combining academic and institutional resources, universities in several countries can create îr expand educational opportunities that otherwise might not be possible for an institution acting alone. Such linkages can best be seen as partnership that works best when they offer mutual benefit and are based on friendship and trust.
In response to continuing worldwide interest in developing contacts with universities of other countries, IGUMO undertakes international projects aimed at setting and upholding standards of good practice, training, professional development and international education. The IGUMO faculty strives for maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct in carrying out their responsibilities to support international education and exchanges.
July, 7 through 31, 2010 a group of third-year students of the IGUMO Foreign Languages Department undertook a course of training at the Leipzig University Language Centre(Germany). The students carried out the academic curriculum of the educational project«Sprachen bauen Br?cken» and spent three unforgettable weeks in Leipzig.
There is a fruitful collaboration between the IGUMO’s Department of Psychology and the Society for International Further Education(«Interkulturelle Weiterbildungsgesellschaft e.V.») and it gets even better.
Believe it or not but you could see M. Twain strolling in the Institute for the Humanities and IT last week. How was that possible? Owing to the fact that there was organized an event called«Laughing and Crying America» in IGUMO IT.
April, 20 through 28, 2008 Professor of the Free University of Berlin, an Honoured Doctor of the Saint-Petersburg State University, Ph. D.(Linguistics), Franz Simmler was giving lectures and seminars to the students of the Department of Foreign languages who study the German language.
On April, 22nd, 2008, E.Rafikova, a lecturer from the University of Winnipeg, Canada gave a master class in English to the IGUMO students in the subject«Logical Models of Reading and Writing».
On October, 19th, 2006 the students of the IGUMO Department of Foreign Languages greeted a very special guest Eugeny Vlasenko, BBC Russian Service Producer in charge of the English language teaching. E.Vlasenko told the students about the structure and the peculiarities of the BBC Company, gave them detailed instructions on how to use the materials that the BBC websites offer and informed that the programs for training are supplied with audio-visual illustrations.
