BBC in IGUMO IT

 On October, 19th, 2006 the students of the IGUMO Department of Foreign Languages greeted a very special guest Eugeny Vlasenko, BBC Russian Service Producer in charge of the English language teaching. E.Vlasenko told the students about the structure and the peculiarities of the BBC Company, gave them detailed instructions on how to use the materials that the BBC websites offer and informed that the programs for training are supplied with audio-visual illustrations.

 The students of the Department of IT in Business who study the English language as a second profession they acquire at IGUMO IT were also invited to the meeting.

 E.Vlasenko had a lot of questions to answer. The students were interested in the selection criterion for those who want to get a job in the BBC World Service and in the common problems of journalism.

 At the end of the meeting the students said that they would love to take part in an on-line linguistic contest which was announced to be held by the BBC.
