July, 7 through 31, 2010 a group of third-year students of the IGUMO Foreign Languages Department undertook a course of training at the Leipzig University Language Centre(Germany). The students carried out the academic curriculum of the educational project«Sprachen bauen Br?cken» and spent three unforgettable weeks in Leipzig. They left the city with a great deal of positive emotions, vivid recollections of the interesting academic curriculum and the activities where they actively took part, and with a firm intention to return to Germany again.
What did the IGUMO students like in Leipzig most of all?
The training(phonetics and grammar);
the project work(to carry out an interview with Germans on a particular topic);
the city(especially its central square Augustusplatz with a high, 142-metre office building named«Wisdom Tooth» by the inhabitants);
the zoo(22,5 ha)(«the huge open air-air cages like safari were very amazing…»);
the visit to BMW;
tasting beer and Leipzig native cuisine;
the open-air-theatre(«Treasure Island»);
many tours of Eisenach(Bach's hometown), Berlin and Dresden;
the karaoke party where all the students took part;
the weekend on the lake together with other students of the project;
the football match InterDaf v. DAAD(the academic exchanges programme students supported our team), later on there was a joint disco at the students club Moritsbastay;
the competitions in volleyball, badminton and table tennis;
the farewell party, the academic project presentation, the degree getting ceremony.
The students of the IGUMO Foreign Languages Department will never forget the days spent in Germany, the friendly and highly professional professors, the new friends and the impressive tours.
That's why the lucky participants of the project«Sprachen bauen Br?cken» would like to repeat such a kind of experience again and again…
