In IGUMO spring is full of achievements. The Department of Design and The Department of Drama have opened new exclusive specialties. The Department of Psychology has broadened its specialties by psychoanalysis. The Journalism Department started to make broadcasts for the students’ radio, to produce movies and newspapers. The Linguistics Department welcomes foreign visitors, who display their interest in collaboration with IGUMO. The Law Department assembles full courtrooms(the processes, naturally, are training). And amusing«IT-esha» settled in the Department of Information Technologies…
Higher school is a symbiosis of science, academic knowledge and practical competence. This position remains valid for the Institute for the Humanities and IT for scientific research was, is and will be of great development priority for the IGUMO. The fact that IGUMO holds conferences of its own status and its faculty takes part in international conferences makes it possible to underline the seriousness of the institute's scientific school.
April is the month which is historically related to Yuri Gagarin, the first human to travel into the outer space. The students of the Institute for the Humanities and IT are well-educated people, thus they do not miss an opportunity to get new knowledge of the world. During their visit to The Memorial Museum of Astronautics, where a presentation of a unique album entitled«Space Journey from Star to Star» was held the students of the IGUMO Department of Journalism found out that astronauts draw amazing paintings.
April, 4, 2012, the students of the IGUMO Department of Law took part at the regular intellectual game«Law Experts». At the first round of the game the students had to answer 10 questions and some of them were really tricky. The score was kept accurate within a half of a point. As a result six teams succeeded to get the minimum number of points.
Even the vanguard minds of the Institute take the opening of Andrey Bartenev’s School in IGUMO as a breakthrough into another dimension. “ The Features to the Portrait» by A. Bartenev are eccentric: the king of shocking behavior who is able to«reconcile contraries», to live and to create«on the verge», cutting off the trail of stereotyped guesswork. He is an outstanding person in art-performance, a representative of the«new evolution» round. He is recognized in America and in Norway, where he lectures his own course to the students of the oldest state University.
On the 6th of February 2012 the classes began not only for the students of IGUMO & IT but also for the institute faculty. They took part in a scheduled retraining in the course«Psycho-pedagogical competence of the teacher and modern educational technologies of teaching at the institute of higher education». The series of classes was opened by professor K.A. Magomedov, Deputy Rector for academic projects. His review lecture was devoted to the analysis of foreign experience in the competence approach and the appraisal criteria of teaching.
As soon as the winter exams in IGUMO were over, everyone returned back to their regular work again. There appeared new ideas which required serious discussion. Real aeropaus took place at M.V.Volynkina's(Prof.) office last week. Discussing the urgent problems were the following IGUMO officials and professors: K.A.Magomedov, Deputy Rector for Academic Projects, E.V.Dmitriev, Deputy Rector for Science, G.N.Gumovskaya, Deputy Rector for International Projects, M.I.Mogachev, Academic Secretary, Y.M.Antonyan, Deputy Rector for Research, S.Y.Razin, Head of the Educational Work Department.
Life never stops – it’s the law of time that brings us to make a decision determining our destiny. It’s quite similar to IGUMO chronicles, because inactivity and stagnation never were its lifestyle. IGUMO is progressing, developing and keeping abreast of the times and that, as it was mentioned, determines the evolution. It seems that our institute had achieved success, but there is no limit of success for the Institute. It means we never stop and are always moving forward.

We hope that they will be a good sign for the students of our Institute. January is indeed a very complicated period: examination session is taking place. So our«energize» is very useful! Thus, Institute for the Humanities and Information Technologies occupies one of the top three top positions among the best private institutions of higher education according to the comments of the 2011 entrants! On January, 10th, 2012 when the holidays were over, the term examinations were scheduled to begin at IGUMO. Within the next few weeks the students of IGUMO will have to show their full knowledge. Despite the fact that, in general, the students were ready for their exams, some of them, however, managed to create the problems for themselves. During the pass-fail exam period the first-year students of IGUMO IT College nearly failed their mid-exams. The students of IGUMO Journalism College had hard times taking the exams, though everything ended well for some of them. Strange as it was, but the first-year students of IGUMO Advertising and PR Department and the third-year students of IGUMO Psychology Department managed to get into troubles during the pass-fail exam period.
